Five cyclist braved the high winds and threat of thunderstorms to do a short 40 Km ride. It was actually sprinkling rain when I left home. but I put on my lucky clear plastic raincoat Purchased after Kennebunkport and the rain stopped immediately. Folded raincoat at McDonalds and placed in jersey pocket. Have not had to use it since I purchased it. Not even for the RLT. So if you want good weather make sure I'm around with my rainjacket. We had to go West due to the winds, so we did the data centre, Hogs Back Rd., Prince of Wales Dr. South to Colonnade Rd, Merivale Rd South to Woodfield, Knoxdale to Hunt Club Rd., Cedarview Rd to the Bikepath to Acres Rd. which is a first for me thanks to my request and Tim Garard's knowledge of the path. (live and learn, thanks Tim) continued on bike path to Woodroffe Ave. were we switched to the road ( bikepath is in very poor repair) to continue to Island Park Dr. National Capital Commision Driveway, Prince of Wales Dr. to Queen Elizabeth Drwy., Bank to Billings Bridge. Cyclist: Tim Garard, John Twemlow, Jane, Allan and James. Passed Andre Marier on Queen Elizabeth Drwy. going in the other direction, pulling a bike trailer.
