I knew we'd get extended coverage of an epic WWII battle in black and
white from CBS when I heard the first stage was to start in Dunkirque. And
sure enough we did. They'll do anything to avoid showing Americans viewers
what pro-cycling is about.
Coming soon is the guided tour of the Loire vineyards, so don't expect too
much of Armstrong vs Ullrich et al. That'll be left on the cutting room
floor.
Thank the gods for OLN this year. Maybe OLN will pick up the feed of
the Vuelta a Espana and the Spring Classics from the OLN US.
BTW, I notice that there's taped coverage of the Tour at 3.30pm (I believe
daily) on the French sports channel 42.
