"Sir James" was a busy man with paper work, four non members, A father and
daughter visiting from Australia, Max and Alison Hayes. plus Jason Pilon and
Glen Sloan. It is my guess that we had between 24 & 26 cyclist who were
divided into three groups by speed of cyclist.

James now brings a map to explain the planned route to the other groups and
again asked Tim to be the faster group leader while James made sure the new
to cycling, cyclist received some instructions on group riding and made it
safely back to Billings Bridge.

The idea of more than one group and speed after RLT seems to be working
quite well as we have been having larger numbers of cyclist, at least when
the weather proves good.

We did Carlsbad Springs / Edwards which worked out to 57 km's, with the
faster groups making it back with time to spare before darkness. The "Sir
James" group was a little slower, we caught up with Tim's group in Carlsbad
Springs, which is how I know that his group broke into two groups with Tim
having the bulk of the riders. He stated that the other group left Billings
Bridge and was not seen again, which is after Carlsbad, the case with "Sir
James" However, James had a rider in a not to great MTB who made a valiant
effort but was not able to maintain our normal pace. as he had already done
10 km's from work and was having a right knee problem. We said our good byes
at Hunt Club and Conroy on the way back (lived close by) and his parting
comments were that he hoped to get a road bike.

We did Smyth Rd. Russell Rd, Ridge Rd. back to Russell Rd (26) to Carlsbad
Springs. Boundary Rd to Mitch Owen past Edwards to Farmers Way which brought
us to Leitrim Road were we travelled West. The planned route was to continue
on Leitrim to Alert Road and them take the Airport Driveway Back to Billings
Bridge.
I expect the other two groups did this route giving them a few extra km's.
However with a ailing cyclist I chose a more direct route in order to get
this rider home.

I would like to take the time to thank Tim for his effort as a Tour Leader.
Without his help I am sure we would have fewer riders as "Sir James" cannot
travel at two speeds at the same time.

Well I had fun at a relaxed pace, I noted that John Twemlow has picked up
the pace on Tuesday nights and I
had to slow him down on the way back . John has new wheels for his road
bike. and has switched the old wheels
to his commute bike which he uses on Tuesday night. Welcome back to the pack
John and please slow down a little. Cheers, James
