Subject: [obc] Advice on upgrading road bike
I own a Specialised Epic, carbon frame and alloy forks with Shimano 600 on
it.
I also would like to up-grade to help this 64 year old in the mountains.
Have found I can go no lower than the block I have which is 36/13 I believe,
without changing all the controls.
I have been also told that it would be cheaper to buy a new bike than change
all the shifters, derailer and parts.
I'm thinking of a new bike next year.
Or maybe I should just lose a few pounds, a Sleeman here a Sleeman there and
up I go.
Cheers, "Sir James"
