Seven regular Tuesday night cyclist participated in the last Tuesday night tour of the season. We did a quick 20.7 km tour around the Airport Terminal, using Uplands going and the Airport Parkway to return. We had planned to have a social drink at Baxter's after the ride. and had set the time as 7:30 PM. However we arrived back at 6:30 PM and the five who did go over were their early. We enjoyed good conversation, a glass of brew and several plates of chips. We departed just after 8:00 PM so I do not think we missed anybody planning to attend. We found it there was a light rain when we left so two of our cyclist who came by car may have got slightly wet on their way home, both had rain gear and lights, Mike Rapsey and John Twemlow. James looks forward to next years season and plans to have a set of maps for all the rides next year. This will mean that the faster group will know the route that I will be taking with the slower riders and those who need to brush up on their group riding. It will also mean that I will be announcing the route prior to the ride. when I comment on one Tuesday Night ride, I will also announce the route and distance of the next weeks ride. The routes will start and end in the twenty km range, in between we will have tours from 30 to 70 and back to 30 Km's. I will be spending my time now travelling those routes and recording the km's to each turn. The maps will be similar to the Sunday tour maps but routes will be shorter and wherever possible I will try to find a safe but different route from point a to b so that you will not be repeating the Sunday routes on Tuesday.
