  What would Sir James do?
Well for starters I was busy with the damsel, Lady June both Saturday the "Ladies
Day" and again on Monday.
Not only did I not get to ride in this fair weather but it also cost me to keep up
with the ladies tradition of spending for Christmas.
However. Not all was lost as I acquired some road knight's equipment in the process,
like two new spare tubes, My trusty steed has not had a flat in three years but I seen
to go through several each year, maybe it's something to do with being a knight. new
traditional black and red tape and Cytomax to insure I have drink in the coming year.

So what is a knight to do, alas I donned my armour and managed to mark the route for
another 40 km ride for the coming year.
It was rather cool and a little wet and windy this Tuesday but now I'm a little
closer to the hoped for 5,000 km's with only 248 km's to go. the knights of the round
wheel are taking bets I'll make it.

I have only been unseated from the rear once by a charging dragon and that was
several years ago on Fallowfield Rd. at Richmond Rd. the normal route to Aston in
those days. The charging dragon was a huffing and puffing flatbed with a paving
machine onboard. The paving machine had a large arrow sticking out the side at about
neck level and the side of the trail had just been freshly graded with large stones.
As I had no wish for my helmet to become a new C-KAP trophy with my head in it, I did
just as Sir Rodney did but manages to go down sideways with only a little road rash on
my right arm. the dragon charged on without missing a puff to leave the unseated Sir
James with not a soul of man or dog to vent his anger.

  Cheers :-( Sir James
PS Sir James's spell checker changes Sir Rodney to Sir Rodent (Tee Hee)
