If you have subscribed to the OBC/Octal mailing list from an @home.com account, you will have to change your address sometime soon as Excite@Home goes though is death spiral...
One way: just subscribe from the new address and let the mailing list delete the old address automagically. Just mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Another way, and handy if you have multiple personality disorder (like me...), also known as multiple email addresses... * 1) Goto http://www.topica.com/my (you may have to supply a userid and password -- the userid will be your subscribed email address, topica will mail your password to this address if "you have forgotten your password"). 2) On the left hand side, you should see a menu item for "Email Addresses" under preferences. Click this. 3) You will see a menu of all your subscribed email addresses (for me, it's got five (5) entries. :-)... 4) Click on "new address" to add the new address. Topica will email a confirmation to that address which you will have to reply to. 5) On the left hand side, you should see a menu item for "My Lists" under preferences. Click this. 6) Click on the items under "Lists you've joined". You should see a page called "Subscription options". Under the item "Deliver To:", select the address that you want the mail to goto. If your new address isn't listed, it's probably because it is not "confirmed". Reply to the message topica sent in step 4! 7) Repeat step 6 for all lists you've joined. If you have lists that you own, step 6 is a touch more complicated, but as a list owner, you better be able to figure it out for yourself. :-) ---- *) Multiple email addresses allow you to post from any listed address - mail will only be delivered to the one specified in "Deliver To:" (assuming you're using email to read the postings).
