Hello all: I was unable to join the ski group last Sunday (flu bug had a hold on me!) However, I did receive a couple of reports as to how those who showed up did! Apparently there was some mix-up with the parking lot, some going to P#1of the Asticou Complex rather that the parking lot for the Park. It was definitely a klister day for the classic skiers. One of my sources told me that 5 skiers tackled the parkway to the top of Black Lake and back, while those who found it too icy, just went home! Were there others who did something even more exciting?
This Sunday, March 3, may be better with snow in the forecast. Meet: PL#5 (Penguin. Old Chelsea, left on Kingsmere Rd. parking lot on right at bridge over the Gatineau Pkwy.) Time: 10 AM Suggested route: Depending on conditions, Parkways or up Penguin to Ridge to Huron Lodge. Not very exciting, but think of the exercise and the company!! If things don't work out, there is always brunch in Old Chelsea!
