Hello all, In an effort to increase skiing and cycling opportunities for people who are blind, two new lists have been created. The purpose of these lists is to share information on adaptive programs,how to get involved, upcoming opportunities, recruiting stokers, blind skiers, guides, tandem pilots, and anyone else interested in promoting such opportunities. These lists will cover both recreational and competitive interests. The United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) offers programs in these sports, and hopefully these lists will inform list members of USABA events and opportunities, as well as any other programs and options that are available. This may be a great opportunity for professionals in the fields of blindness to collect and distribute information to their students, share ideas, and/or get involved in one of these activities. The cycling list will cover all disciplines of cycling: road, track, mountain biking, triathlons, and any other related disciplines. The skiinglistserv will include the topics of alpine and cross country skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports.
