Bill

We had a good discussion about the OCA insurance program and cycling in
general!

There is a new document being circulated around to the clubs on the very
subject that you bring up in your e-mail to Jeremey. In it I state the
following:

Insurance should not be confused with club participation rules. Once you
pay into the insurance pool you are covered for the year and are not
required to pay more than once. Your club insurance card, OCA membership or
a CCA/UCI licence is proof of this.

That is the guideline. It is still up to the club to determine if they
actually refund the difference to you because we do not require anyone to
pay twice or three times for insurance.

Although it may not be fair there is nothing to stop a club from charging
you full price for membership even if you belong to another club where you
have paid for insurance.
