I agree with all the others in what you should do to prepare yourself for
group riding with the club.  We are a very varied group in ages and
abilities, so I am sure you will find a niche.  The first time at Billings
is always the worst, but once you've been through the Group Riding Clinic
and established a few contacts, it will make things easier.  Look for the
Touring Director, Tom Stratton, at Billings Bridge and he will put you in
touch with riders of similar ability.  One thing to remember, don't be
intimidated by what you see at Billings, deep down most of us are very nice
approachable people who have at least one common interest -- riding our
bikes.
