Hi all, [An OBC member suggested I post this message, please forgive if not relevant!]
As you know the Complete Ottawa Cycling Guide was released a couple of weeks ago. Stock is very nearly depleted in City Stores, which is great news that they are well distributed, but very few remain for distribution throughout the cycling season. I got a call from a volunteer letting me know that there was a significant stack in the lobby of his father's high rise building, and no one appeared to be helping themselves to the Guides. Since the folks in that building are primarily seniors, Brian felt the Guides would do more good if they were distributed at community events and displays this spring, and he volunteered to return the majority of them to me (thanks Brian!). Further to this, I have been asked to post to this newsgroup to see if anyone has noticed a similar scenario in or around apartment buildings. We'd like to prevent the Guides from being dumped in blue boxes when we could be distributing them to interested cyclists. So, if anyone knows of stacks of Guides that could be re-distributed, please advise me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] with approximate quantity, location and your contact info. The Guides can be returned to our office downtown (see address below), or City staff will even arrange to pick them up.
