I hope you don't mean for good. Personally, I've never had a problem with people anonymously posting to the email list, but I don't think that was the major issue in your email. I also have to say that I've appreciated your emails in the past, more female voices I think are necessary, they seem to have a moderating influence. I've always been a little concerned by the low level of female participation in the club, it seems to be very testosterone driven. I don't know if it's the nature of the sport or a reflection on our society in general. I was recently encouraged by a story that I heard from a co-worker while we were out to lunch. She considers herself to be a very feminine person and calls her daughter a "tom-boy", very proudly so. She's in grade 8 right now and is a hockey player, snowboarder and all-round athlete. She told stories of taking her home from hockey practice, and her daughter deciding get her prom dress on the way. Mom, of course, had to insist on daughter taking a shower before trying dresses on (apparently female players stink as badly as the male ones). She's also is a kick-ass skateboarder and knows more tricks than most of the guys. Even when she was four years old, the guys in the neighbourhood would ask if she could come out to play road hockey. My point is, that I think society is changing. Girls are encouraged to play sports. They know they can be just as good, if not better than the guys. The world can be a cruel place, but I have to agree with H.G. Wells, "When I see an adult on a bicycle, I do not despair for the future of the human race."
