You have to like hills to cycle almost anywhere in Spain but I haven't been to Mallorca in 30 years. Other OBCers have been there more recently and can be more specific. The weather in winter is better just opposite on the mainland (Costa Blanca) - about 2 degrees warmer and not so windy. >and I wonder about taking a bicycle with me. Yes, but with the caveat above - provided you enjoy climbing hills. If by "taking a bicycle" you mean travel with a bicycle, also yes, just pack it in a cardboard box or case.
