That's cool, but I was one of the many who saw Gord do it. I was
probably the only one who just had heard of Gord, I just loved his dual
Campy wheels. How old was Gord when he did it, (what I means was) and/or
was he racing in 85 (?) when they had the nationals in Ottawa? Boy is
that a memory, every time you heard the silent noise of brakes going
into a corner, you heard a lot of swearing to go with it. Since I am
mulling (can't spell reminiicising) over the past races in my mind (not
as many as a lot of you) the best ever comes to my mind was the race in
the market. That is where Craig Burge was top 5, and it was one by a
Paul (?) MacCormick (his brother was second, and the [nickname goes
here] Kiwi (forgot his real name) was 3rd (yes/no?), who was riding with
the first ever Grip Shift shifters(never ever took his hands off of the
bar ends) I had ever seen in person. We were standing at the corner of
Murray and Dalhousie, it appears the wettest part of the course and we
could see the figure 8 setup near the final. Oh what memories :-).
