Another thing that came up this past Sunday - related to maps and
routes... I (by choice) rolled off the back of the (extra) Sportif
Touring group after Russell last Sunday. As I was leisurely riding home,
I found a few riders who had been dropped by this bunch. They were less
then unfamiliar with the area (ok, they looked down right lost), and
would have had a bit of difficulty getting back to Billings efficiently.

One on the things that I recommend carrying around is a road map of
Eastern Ontario - I generally keep a copy of the provincial road map -
good enough when you are getting lost! You can get a PDF copy to print
(even cheaper then the real map, and it blows up well).
