Oops sorry for the garbled message there. I got carried away with some mailer problems and sent that inadvertently. That should have read:
I recently retired my old commuter and replaced with a modern machine. When I attempted to transfer the bell I found I couldn't mount on the new machine. Sooooo I went to the spare parts bin and dug a few more different models. No good. The problem is the inside diameter of the clamp is too small for the handle bars and the stem. The problem is that most bells have a clamp with a single split clamp. I could use a bell with a true split clamp (two screws). I tried to borrow my daughter 's Mickey Mouse bell (it has that kid of clamp) but she wouldn't let me take off her trike.
