Just a quick thank you to everyone who participated, volunteers and riders.
We could hardly have hoped for better execution and that was all thanks to the enthusiastic effort of the volunteers. Riders were, as usual, great to deal with and very appreciative of the event. As a competitor myself, I was quite touched by the support along the route and felt that security around the circuit was in complete control. It was quite a thrill to ride through the start/finish area with the cones, commissaires, beeping timing equipment, and cheering throngs of spectators. It looks like the total entries were just over 550 which, though less than I had hoped for, may be just about all the riders who are out there. Southern Ontario entries grew from around 20 in past years to just about 100 this time. Let's hope that word of mouth causes more riders to come next year.
