CHEERS from Sir James I normally don't lead a group on Sundays unless I'm needed, as I'm a tour leader every Tuesday. However, 11 cyclist in Group 1 wanted to go the distance to Kemptville so James volunteered. We gained one on the road and lost three to Osgoode at Kars, leaving a group of 9. This group was one of the best groups that I have ever lead, they were well organized, rotated on their own and called out warnings when needed. All I had to do was seat back and yell out directions in advance of turns. Considering that we were group 1 and the cross winds, we did a fairly fast ride, average was 26.1. At Alert Rd. I asked if they wanted to go to the BBQ that we would proceed North on Uplands Rd. and anybody who wanted to return to Billings Bridge could return by the Airport Parkway. I lost another three. I'm sure that most of the group knew that by going to Kemptville, they would be late for the BBQ. but wanted to get the Km's in. So I would like to thank the cyclist for a great ride and Rick for offering us late riders his great hospitality and food. James could not stay as he has a new baby (Airedale) that's in the chewing teething stage and needs constant watching or our home would be chewed away. Cannot leave all the work to my wife June.
