I'm certain other organizations such as the NCMBA will follow this issue and
voice an opinion but I believe the OBC should also stand up and support
their mountain biking membership if trail access is indeed threatened. As
the largest cycling club in the region it would be a shame to just stand by
and let smaller mountain bike specific clubs take on the NCC alone. Does the
OBC have a road specific mandate?

Of course but we can't act on rumours. So we'll wait to see the 
evidence. Currently, we use the roads as legal users. We get a permit 
for the Grand Prix so I don't see that changing. MTB trail use is 
another issue and I wouldn't be surprised to see changes, but other 
organizations will deal with that.
