The Best in Heritage 2007, an international, annual presentation of the best awarded museum, heritage and conservation projects, will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, on 27-29 September 2007, under the patronage of ICOM, UNESCO, ICOMOS, Europa Nostra, ICCROM and the City of Dubrovnik. Representatives of twenty noteworthy projects explain why their achievements were proclaimed best, either internationally or nationally. They do this in three days of attractive programme for a steadily rising audience, coming from 31 countries last year. Submission of papers is invited in the field of intercultural communication from participants in previous NIC Conferences and other researchers or practitioners from related fields. Organizers also invite doctoral students to submit papers that will be presented in the Doctoral Workshop held during conference, and especially welcome submissions from researchers and doctoral students based in Eastern Europe. Besides the main theme of Changing Identities in the Globalized World, organizers invite papers that address any of the following themes: Identities in multicultural society, Intercultural communication and national identity, Minority / majority communication issues, Reflections of global / local in intercultural perspective, Values in multicultural society, Immigration and intercultural communication, Intercultural conflict handling, Cultural diversity, Intercultural communication and the Internet, Identities in political rhetoric, Intercultural business communication, Gender communication, Educational aspects of intercultural communication. 250-word abstracts should be submitted by 27 August 2007.
