She draws upon vernacular imagery from domestic life and the American landscape, transforming both the materials and the way we see though technology. Her work is shown in galleries, museums and festivals, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Olympic Museum, Sarajevo; the Pompidou Centre, Paris, Musee Dart Moderne et Contemporain de Strasbourg, Luna Park and Arsenal, Berlin; Portland Museum of Art; the Kennedy Center and the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC; Getty Museum and LACE in LA; the Pacific Film Archive; San Francisco Cinematheque, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts; the de Young Museum; and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in the Bay Area; festivals include Oberhausen, Toronto, London, San Francisco and Athens. She is the recipient of grants from the Guggenheim Foundation, Djerassi Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Film Arts Foundation, Jerome Foundation, and Kelsey Street Press.
