The brochure POST FUNDING EASTERN EUROPE – Try to find another cow,
developed by Ingela Johansson, Volodymyr Kuznetsov and Inga Zimprich
compiles different standpoints of contemporary Ukrainian cultural
producers in summer 2006. Since then the institutional landscape in
Kiev has transformed again: New institutions, curators, approaches,
and investors appeared.
During the round table discussion we are looking forward to discuss
the emerging modes of cultural production with artists, critics and
curators:
Which are the conditions of cultural entrepreneurship in Ukraine? Do
we witness the transformation of arts and culture into a fashionable
life-style factor? Which practices at the side-lines persist
challenging the cultural sphere albeit their economically marginalized
position? Who gains the right to represent cultural identity in
post-soviet space? Can artists and curators oppose the "migrating
monocentrism"* apparent in the Ukrainian artistic landscape?

Invisibility.
