a competitive festival of short films http://filmini.org/#3 Filmini International Short Film Festival aims to contribute to the promotion and production of artistic short films in Bulgaria, as well as to encourage the cooperation between local and international filmmakers. The Festival program includes: 1. An international competition of short films (maximum 20 minutes of length). 2. A Balkan competition of short films (maximum 20 minutes of length), coming from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and UNMI Kosovo. 3. A Bulgarian competition of short films (maximum 20 minutes in length). 4. Non-competitive film programs, retrospectives, tributes and other accompanying screenings and events. Films in non-competitive sections can have a maximum length of 30 minutes. The Festival accepts for the competition programs fiction and animated short films only, with a maximum 20 minutes of length. Only works produced after 1 January, 2006 can be included in the competition. Films can be produced by any technical means. Film prints on 35mm and copies on DVD in good technical condition, and provided with English subtitles, can be accepted for screenings in the competition and non-competitive sections. To take part in the festival applicants are required to submit: - An entry form duly filled and signed. - The film on DVD with English subtitles. - Synopsis. - Directors bio & filmography. - At least 3 stills from the film - A photo of the director. - The dialogue list in original language and its translation into English. - Other press and promotional materials. Materials must be sent: a) by mail (indicated no commercial value cultural use only) b) by courier service (with declared value of less than 15 EUR or 15 USD) All received materials will remain in the Festival archive. An international Jury of five members will award the following prizes: -Best International film plus 1,000 EUR (goes to the director of the film). -Best Balkan film plus 1,000 EUR (goes to the director of the film). -Special Jury Mentions for the Best Bulgarian film (goes to the director of the film). -Audience award for the Best film at the festival (goes to the director of the film). data limita: 15/09/07 Kontakt: Filmini International Short Film Festival zh.k.
