MaHKU, Graduate School for Visual Art and Design in Utrecht, The
Netherlands, offers one-year Masters programs designed for an
international body of students.

MaHKU students are from various backgrounds such as Editorial Design,
Interior Design, Fashion Design, Urban Design, and Fine Art, and come from
all over the world and from all continents. While exploring idiosyncratic
modes of research and creating research concepts, students not only seek
to deepen their proficiency and to expand their knowledge both in visual
and theoretical work.

In their master work, they also contribute to the bifurcation of the field
of artistic research. The development and realization of MaHKU research
trajectories create links with other disciplines and involves a close
collaboration with a platform of art and design institutions.

The internationally published MaHKUzine - Journal of Artistic Research -
presents articles and research reports by guest lecturers outside the
regular curriculum, by staff, and by outstanding students. Download
