UNESCO: new online database on cultural heritage legislation A new online database of national legislation on cultural heritage around the world has recently been made public by UNESCO. A project first designed in 2003, the database currently collects 757 pieces of legislation from 113 UNESCO member states. By compiling these documents, UNESCO offers all stakeholders involved (governments, customs officials, art dealers, organizations, lawyers, buyers) a complete and easily accessible source of information. The development of the project has been funded by the United States of America. The database is now available at http://www.unesco.org/culture/natlaws
