La Seine est le programme de recherche de lÉcole nationale supérieure des beaux-arts à Paris. Il est dirigé par Tony Brown et est destiné à de jeunes artistes de toutes nationalités ayant déjà mené à terme une formation diplômante supérieure de niveau master II (2e cycle) depuis au moins un an. Ce programme dune durée de deux ans, fondé sur léchange des savoirs et des compétences relevant de la pensée artistique et de ses pratiques, offre aux jeunes artistes sélectionnés la possibilité de développer une pratique artistique confortée par la recherche et lexpérience, et de mener un travail personnel dans un contexte professionnel. Chaque année, trois à six nouveaux participants sont sélectionnés pour une durée de deux ans. De nombreux artistes, commissaires dexpositions, critiques dart, interviennent dans le programme tout au long de lannée pour des rencontres individuelles et collectives. Une aide à la recherche et à la réalisation est versée à chaque artiste. La Seine is the research program proposed by the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, France. It is headed by Tony Brown and open to young artists of all nationalities who have passed a master II (European standard) level degree for at least 12 months. The pedagogy of this 2 years program is based on the exchange of knowledge and skills linked to artistic thought, processes, and practice. Along with offering a rich context to work in, the program seeks to provide the professional conditions for the students to best develop their future artistic direction. A large number of visiting artists, curators, critics, are scheduled throughout the year for meetings with the participants. A grant for research and production is awarded to each artist in the program. There is no restriction based on nationality.
