STEP beyond mobility scheme - updated info Mobility is the life-blood of cultural cooperation. Artists and cultural workers need to move easily across borders to meet their international peers, exchange views, cooperate, and influence one another.
The European Cultural Foundation's mobility fund STEP beyond stimulates and supports cross-cultural creative projects, enabling artists and cultural workers to: # Collaborate and exchange # Network and explore unfamiliar ground and different ways of working STEP beyond - the ECF's travel fund The ECF supports mobility across all European countries, EU and non-EU. This support extends to the South Caucasus countries of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan thanks to co-funding by the Open Society Institute in Budapest. ECF has a special focus on Experiencing diversity and the Power of Culture for 2006-2010, so STEP beyond supports travels with a clear relation to the ECF's focus on Diversity in Europe. As of January 2009, the STEP beyond application and grant giving procedures have changed! Your applications must now be submitted via the website (follow the link below). BEFORE, you could be awarded with a STEP grant for a maximum of two times in total - NOW you will be able to apply again after a period of 5 years (counting from the date of the second STEP grant).
