Stena, ktora rozdelovala Europu je zmazana. Je prikladom mnohych inych neviditelnych linii a hranic, ktore existuju dodnes a nechavaju stopy v spolocnosti novej zjednotenej Europy. Vystava "Erased Walls" prezentuje sucasne umenie zo strednej a vychodnej Europy ako obraz spolocne definovaneho kulturneho priestoru. Masivne spolocenske, politicke a geopoliticke zmeny poslednych 20 rokov su prezentovane cez sucasne umenie tychto krajin na komunikacnej estetickej baze. "Erased Walls" sluzi ako umelecky katalog sucasnej situacie. Kuratori z Ruska, Ukrajiny, Gruzinska, Ceskej republiky, Slovenska a Polska pripravili prispevky tykajuce sa ustrednych tem rozlicnych krajin, ktore zaroven ponukaju analyzu kulturnych rozdielov ale predstavuju i rozdielne spajajuce prvky. Jednotlive spolocenske, politicke, filozoficke a kulturne temy sluzia ako odrazovy mostik pre spolocnu diskusiu spajajucu koncept vyjadreny v nazve vystavy. Projekt Erased Walls sa kona od 24. septembra do 22. oktobra ako uvodna vystava Freies Muzea v Berline. Otovrenie bude sprevadzat medzinarodny kulturny program pozostavajuci z performance, tanca a filmu ako i medzinarodneho sympozia s temou "Kulturny priestor strednej a vychodnej Europy". Po skonceni vystavy bude projekt dalej pokracovat s individualnymi akciami do novembra v priestoroch Freies Muzea v Berline. The wall which divided Europe is erased. This is one example of the many other invisible lines, the ghost boundaries that still exist today and leave traces in the societies of a unifying new Europe. The exhibition "Erased Walls" shows contemporary art from Middle and Eastern Europe, defining a collective cultural space through this filter. The massive social, political and geopolitical changes in the last 20 years can be experienced via the contemporary art of these countries, on a communicative aesthetic basis. "Erased Walls" serves as an artistic inventory of the current situation. Curators and initiators of Biennales from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland developed contributions, which pertain to central topics of the different countries, which analyse cultural differences and exhibit multiple unifying elements. The individual social, political, philosophical and cultural topics that emerge, serve as a springboard for a collective discussion, cementing the concept expressed in the title. The "Erased Walls" project takes place from 24th of September to 22h of October 2009 as the opening exhibition of the Freies Museum Berlin. This inauguration is accompanied by an international cultural program consisting of performance, dance, and film contributions as well as an international symposium with the topic "Cultural space of Middle and Eastern Europe". Following the closure of the physical exhibition, the project will be continued with single events until November in the space of Freies Museum Berlin.
