The Non established art scene (NUS) Competition for participation in Art Exhibition 2011
Call for young artists perioada: 12th - 19th of November, 2011 The Non established art scene (NUS) aims to present the work of contemporary young artists to the wider local audience, with the main goal being the affirmation of young artists and contemporary conceptual art in the local scene. Theme: The tampon generation How difficult it truly is to form your own identity and resist the imposed process of soaking in and tolerating everything that society offers, but still demands to be taken for granted; how difficult it truly is to become aware of your own strength and your ability to change your surroundings in a passive environment; in a media censorship; in a pseudo democracy; in capitalist consumerism; how difficult it truly is to accomplish a satisfying existence? This is a generation of young people who are trying to accomplish their goals and create conditions for a fulfilled life in these days of capitalism and economic crisis. Place and time: Akvarij Bacvice, 12th - 19th of November, 2011. Application deadline: 15th September, 2011. Application prerequisites: ● artist needs to be under age of 35 ● every person can apply maximum of 3 exhibition works ● works in all techniques can be applied, including performing arts ● filled- in application form (which must include a photography of work in digital format) has to be sent to e-mail address below or delivered on the postal address below, no later than 15th September, 2011. with subject NUS competition 2011. ● exhibition works will be selected by the NUS art committee; based on quality, originality and how closely it relates to the theme. The candidates will be notified with the results of the selection by e-mail on 1st November, 2011.
