culturia art writers programme

How have you been?
I am writing to you today because I trust you might know people who have interest to take part in special offer for art writers’ short term residency in the culturia framework.
In culturia we are looking for art writers to stay in our programme for 1 month (June and July). The selected art writers will be introduced to the culturia framework (dinners, workshops, concept, studio and gallery visits, Berlin institutions, main actors). In return we would ask the art writers to produce a text based on the interactions with the current culturia artists. We give a freedom when it comes to the form of the critical text and offer a promotion after the realization of the assignment (the right of the texts stays with the author).
In months May, June, July in culturia we work with 3 amazing artists:

The offer includes a stay in the culturia apartment. Shared flat with the residents artists plus use of the co working area. The art writer needs to pay 225 euro to cover the program expenses (average price of a room in Berlin is 300 euro).

Short introduction to culturia concept:
culturia has been building its networks since 2005 and has progressively changed from a residency using temporary spaces in Berlin to develop into an experimental place where the practice of exploring artistic process became the concept.
idea and program
culturia is a twofold: an art residency and a non-material collection. Strategically declining in its approach to pure studio practice, culturia invites artists to present projects in close relation between process and presentation.
The main point of the program is to enhance the internal development of the artist during the short-term residency, which can be more valuable than a production of new objects.
