la programul de rezidentă în Chișinău.

As the year 2013 draws to an end, the Oberliht team would like to give
you an insight into some of the events organised in September 2013 in
the frame of Chisinau Civic Center - beyond red lines program by local
and international artists, participants in the residency program in
Chisinau.

Pe 4 septembrie 2013, Ewa RUDNICKA, Tom RUSSOTTI și Karl HALLBERG, au
ținut o prezentare în Zpațiu (Casa Zemstvei) despre activitatea lor
și unele proiecte mai vechi.

HALLBERG, held a presentation in Zpace (Zemstvei Museum) about their
work and some of their former projects.

Timp de 5 zile, între 7 şi 11 septembrie, echipa studioBASAR a lucrat
în zona orașului vechi (intersecția str. Sf. Andrei / I. Zaikin)
pentru a reabilita, împreună cu locuitorii, un parc care a fost
abandonat și riscă să dispară. O prezentare a rezultatelor
obținute în cadrul acestui atelier de lucru de 5 zile a avut loc în
același parc pe 11 septembrie, urmînd a fi organizată și o
proiecție de film pe 22 septembrie.
On September 7-11th, the studioBASAR team worked in the old town (Sf.
Andrei / Zaikin streets intersection) to rehabilitate, together with
local inhabitants, a park whose quality has been declining over time.
A presentation of this 5-days workshop was held in this very park on
the 11th of September as a conclusion to the workshop, complemented by
a movie screening.

Pe 7 septembrie , Karl HALLBERG a creat un "punct de reparații pentru
biciclete”, unde oricine putea să-şi repare bicicleta gratuit.
Acest punct a fost disponibil / a rezistat până în decembrie a.c.
On 7th of September, Karl HALLBERG created a public "emergency bike
point", where everyone could come and fix his/her bike for free. This
point was available all the time until early December.

Pe 8 septembrie 2013, în Zpatiu, Ștefan Tiron a vorbit despre Occupy
Gezi: dinamica gazelor lacrimogene, proximitate radicală, roiuri
umane, circulația imaginilor cu protestatari

Occupy Gezi: the dynamics of tear gas, radical proximity, human swarms

Între 10-12 septembrie Levente Polyak și Vitalie Sprinceana au
coordonat un atelier de cartografiere „Spații Recuperate„ în
scopul de a instrui comunitatea de activiști cum să utilizeze
tehnologii interactive crowd-mapping pentru a-şi coordona eforturile
și îmbunătăți comunicarea între autorități și cetățeni.
Between September 10-12, Levente Polyak and Vitalie Sprinceana
coordinated the "Reclaiming spaces" workshop in order to inform
activists how to use interactive crowd-mapping technologies to
coordinate their efforts and improve the communication between
authorities and citizens.

Pe 12 septembrie, am invitat publicul să ni se alăture la
Apartamentul Deschis unde a fost proiectat filmul “Blocada”. Filmul
dat reprezintă o perspectivă unică asupra celor mai însemnate
proteste studenţeşti din istoria recentă a Croaţiei.
On 12th of September, “The Blockade” movie was screened at Flat
Space. This film shows a unique view of the most significant student
protest in recent history of Croatia.

Pe 14 septembrie, Igor Tyshchenko a tinut o prezentare despre
activitatea
Asociației de Ciclism din Kiev și experiența acesteia în
„biciclizarea” Kievului. El, de asemenea, a vorbit despre
experienţa colaborării cu proiectanţii de transport şi
autorităţile locale. Prezentarea a fost urmată de proiecţia
filmului Still We Ride.
On 14th of September, Igor Tyshchenko held a presentation about the
activity of the Association of Kyiv cyclists and its experience on the
‘bicyclization’ of Kyiv city. He also talked about the experience
of dealing with transport planners and local authorities. The
screening of the film Still We Ride followed the presentation.

Între 15-16 septembrie, am fost gazdă unui grup de experți străini
care au venit într-o vizită de studiu, în cadrul căreia experții s-
au întîlnit cu comunitatea de activiști din Chișinău și cu
autoritațile locale, și au putut cunoaște mai bine efectele negative
produse de transformările urbane de tip neoliberal.
Between 15-16 of September we hosted a group of international experts
who participated in a study visit in Chisinau. During their visit the
experts have met with the local activist community and with
authorities. They could also learn more about the negative effects
produced by the neoliberal type of urban transformations.

Pe 17-18 septembrie, v-am invitat să participați la conferința
Internațională Spațiile Publice în Post-Socialism: incluziune,
excluziune și practici de revendicare, împreună cu cercetători,
arhitecți, activiști, curatori și artiști din Republica Moldova,
Ucraina, Armenia, Georgia, Macedonia, Albania, Polonia și Ungaria, ce
sunt preocupaţi de studierea spaţiilor publice și problemelor legate
de definirea şi configurarea acestora în perioada post-socialistă.
On September 17-18, we all were invited to the international
conference “Public Spaces in Post-Socialism: inclusion, exclusion and
practices of its reclaiming“, together with scholars, architects,
activists, curators and artists from Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia,
Georgia, Macedonia, Albania, Poland and Hungary, who study or are
active in the field of public space and the problems related to the
administration and reconfiguration of public spaces in the post-
socialist period.

spaţiul public în Armenia, proiectate la Apartamentul Deschis, care
prezintă cum e să fii cetăţean activ în Armenia şi ce au reușit
grupurile de activişti în decursul ultimilor ani.
On 17th of September, we invited people to join us at Flat Space where
several films about public spaces in Armenia were screened. It shows
us what it is like to be an active citizen in Armenia, and what
activist groups did in the past few years.

Tom RUSSOTTI și Karl HALLBERG ne-au invitat la o defilare a circului
în Chişinău: deghizaţi în elefant, trubadur şi în alte
personaje, am defilat pe străzi, destinaţia finală fiind Circul.

We made use of the public showcases situated on Pushkin str. to
present the work (If You Don´t Need It?) of Slovak artists Jana
Kapelová and Michal Moravčík. These newspapers were used to document
a series of actions that they lead in Chisinau during their residency
program.

In the evening we invited everybody to join us at Flat Space where
several film by Ghenadie Popescu were screened. At the end of the
screening the author himself generously offered us boiled corn that we
could try out.

Împreună cu Ludmila BOUROȘ și elevii școlii de artă Al. Șciusev
am explorat orașul vechi, pentru a reconstrui, prin desen şi
pictură, istoria străzilor şi caselor vechi. Prin această acţiune
ne-am propus să contribuim la păstrarea monumentelor de arhitectură
din Chișinău.
Together with Ludmila Bouros and pupils of Al. Sciusev art school we
explored the old town in order to reconstruct through painting and
drawing the history of the streets and old houses. By doing so, we
wanted to contribute to the preservation of the architectural
monuments in Chisinau.

lumină interesele ce intersectează peisajul urban al Chişinăului.
Interesele individuale trec dincolo de cele colective, valorile
economice prevalează asupra patrimoniului architectural, religia se
intersectează cu libertatea de exprimare.
In his project, Intersections, Karl HALLBERG attempts to visualize
some of the different interests that meet each other in the cityscape
of Chisinau. Individual interests are crossing over collective ones,
economic values crossing heritage, religion crossing the freedom of
expression.

Valeria BARBAS a prezentat performance-ul muzical Claximphonie, scopul
căruia a fost să transforme scuarul din str. București 68,
actualmente folosit în calitate de parcare neautorizată pentru
mașini, într-o scenă, iar șoferii au fost invitați să facă
muzică.
Valeria BARBAS held a music performance Claximphonie, whose purpose
was to transform the square situated on Bucuresti str. 68, currently
used as an unauthorized parking lot, into a stage, inviting the car
drivers to make music.

Seara am proiectat documentarul Jocul Etern de Paula DURINOVA. Ea
explorează câteva locuri din Chişinău, memorialul Eternitate şi
scuarul jucătorilor de şah, de pe strada Mateevici, comparînd ambele
spații și prezentînd o analiză a vieții locuitorilor din acest
oraș.
In the evening we screened the documentary Eternal Play created by
Paula DURINOVA. She explores several spaces in Chisinau, such as the
Eternity memorial and chess players' square on Mateevici str.,
comparing both public places and analyzing the life of city inhabitants.

Pe fundalul dispariției infrastructurii sportive din Chișinău Tom
Russotti a invitat toți doritorii de a face sport într-un mod
colectiv, cu practici sportive inventate de dînsul. Acest eveniment a
avut loc în ograda Liceului Chiril şi Metodiu din zona orașului
vechi.
Having as a background the disappearing sport infrastructure in
Chisinau, Tom Russotti invited everybody for a collective sports
event, made of new sports that have been invented by him. This event
took place in the playground of Chiril and Metodiu Liceum, in the old
town.

Maxim CUZMENCO a desfăşurat o acţiune ce a pornit de la tăierea
parţială a copacilor bătrâni de pe străzile Chişinăului, de
către serviciile municipalităţii, transformând copacii în obiecte
de artă. Copacii marcați de autor prin coincidență, sau nu, se
regăseau în apropierea axei Bulevardului Cantemir. Atenție!,
proiectat în anii 70’ cu scopul fluidizării traficului auto în
centrul orașului, acest bulevard ar putea fi oricînd construit.
Maxim CUZMENCO held an action based on the fact that municipal
services partially cut old trees in the streets of Chisinau, by
transforming the trees in objects of art. The selected trees by
coincidence or not are situated in the proximity of Cantemir Boulevard
that was projected in 70’s in order to smoothen the car traffic. In
fact, this boulevard could be built even today.

Un pic mai tîrziu, pe strada Bălănescu, într-o cafenea, a fost
proiectat filmul Dacă nu aveţi nevoie?, care prezintă performace-ul
realizat de Jana KAPELOVA şi Michal MORAVCIK ce a constat în
colectarea mobilei vechi pentru a restructura spaţiul public.
Chișinăuienii nu au scăpat șansa de a se alege cu un taburet nou,
de culoarea marmurei, în schimbul unor scaune vechi pe care le-au scos
afară fără nici o remușcare, într-un fel sugerînd faptul că ar
pleca din casele lor vechi dacă ar primi apartamente noi în schimb.
Few hours later the film “If you don't need it”, documenting the
performance of Jana KAPELOVA and Michal MORAVCIK that consisted of
collecting old furniture that was used to redesign the public space,
was screened on Balanescu street, in a café. Chisinau inhabitants
didn’t loose the chance to get a new stool, white like marble,
instead of their old chairs that they gave away with no regret,
suggesting so that they would leave their old houses if they would get
instead a new flat.

de liniile roșii Jan SVOBODA a organizat un eveniment în aer liber de
ridicare a greutăţilor, desfăşurat lîngă casa memorială a lui
Ivan Zaikin. În timpul acestui eveniment, oricine putea să încerce
halterele propuse de artist și să se simtă campion!
During the last day of the program Chisinau Civic Center – beyond red
lines, Jan SVOBODA organized an outdoor weight-lifting event, next to
Ivan Zaikin’s memorial house. During this performance, everyone got
the opportunity to feel like a champion!

Ca un rezultat al atelierului de Intervenţii urbane din strada Sf.
Andrei colț cu str. I. Zaikin, am organizat un concert şi am
proiectat un film animat de Hermína Týrlová (un pioner al filmului
animat ceh). Proiecția a fost pentru locuitorii din cartier care au
contribuit la amenajarea parcului aflat acolo.
As a conclusion to the Urban Interventions workshop organized on the
intersection of St. Andrew / I. Zaikin streets, we organized a concert
and screened an animation film by Hermína Týrlová, a pioneer of
Czech animated film. The screening was for the inhabitants of the
neighborhood who contributed to the revitalization of the park area.

La final am prezentat proiectul Ewei Rudnicka, care are drept scop să
atragă atenţia asupra patrimoniului arhitectural care a fost demolat
şi pierdut datorită intreselor economice, lăcomiei, uitării,
neglijenţei, prostiei.
In the end we presented the project of Ewa Rudnicka, who wanted to
bring awareness to the heritage that was demolished and lost due to
economic interests, greed, oblivion, negligence, stupidity.
