O projeto debruça-se sobre o texto Ájax de Sófocles para investigar
processos linguísticos de práticas de indexação, interpelação e focalização,
em específico, no modo como o performer, a partir da exploração da relação
entre linguagem e movimento, desenvolve estratégias de interpelação e
intervenção com o público. Em palco, o performer está com o público em
redor de si e vai desdobrando dois modos de ficcionalizar, um pela instalação
do espaço da narrativa no espaço teatral e pela atribuição de personagens a
alguns elementos do público, outro pela redução do texto a palavras deícticas
de forma a que o público estabeleça a sua própria ficção sobre os
acontecimentos. Desta forma, o performer orquestra uma coreografia de
gestos, poses e palavras num espaço comum com a audiência em que toda a
acção irá desenvolver-se a partir das relações produzidas através de
operações como testemunhar, narrar, ser parte de, interpretar, memorizar,

This project is dedicated to investigate how the processes of indexicality,
interpellation and focalization are applied to the ways a demonstrator
manages his relationship to himself, to his own language, to his own state and
to his audience. A demonstrator, as defined by Bertolt Brecht, is someone that
reveals a witnessed situation by telling how it happened while showing how it
happened, he is always transferring himself in-between two states, the one
that demonstrates and the subject of demonstration. Here, we define two self
referential spaces between the demonstrator and himself, and him and the
audience. In these spaces, the demonstrator is working with gestures and
utterances as signs and relational markers that defines the organization of the
lived abstractions that are being performed, showed and pointed to the
audience. How they are being arrested and captured, folded together in
complicity, hailed and address are questions and processes that this project
investigates through Ajax’s Story from Sophocles.
