This year festival has two fold intent. The first, is to explore more profoundly transformative potential of art, by reflecting upon the changing social cultural landscape of Europe and globe, taking into account the shifting geophysical, geopolitical and technological vectors that are shaping it. The second, is to explore the changing notion of contemporaneity and its impact on the media art and networked cultures in 21^st century. Taking place in framework of Changing Weathers project, the festival program will feature Open Fields ? an international academic art and science conference, providing a theoretical base for the festival exhibition. The exhibition will take place from September 29 ? November 6, 2016 in the new Exhibition Hall of the National Library of Latvia, complemented by public lectures, artists presentations, workshops and performances.
