Finalists European Prize for Urban Public Space

Dear Sirs,

It is my own pleasure to contact you in order to let you know the members of
the International Jury <http://www.publicspace.org/en/prize/jury/2016> for the
2016 European Prize for Urban Public Space <http://publicspace.org/en>met at
the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) on 28 and 29 April to
decide the results of this year’s award.

From a total of 276 entries
<http://www.publicspace.org/en/prize/jury-stage/2016>, the Jury selected 25
finalists <http://www.publicspace.org/en/prize/finalist-works/2016>. Two of
these entries were awarded a joint First Prize and four others were selected
for Special Mentions but they will not be revealed until 4 July when they will
be announced at the prize-giving ceremony which is to be held at the CCCB and
live broadcast by streaming.

All the finalists will subsequently be shown in an itinerant exhibition
<http://www.publicspace.org/en/categories/exhibitions-1> which will travel
around European cities and elsewhere during the next two years in order to
present the results of the Prize.

We should like to take this occasion to congratulate the authors and promoters
of the finalists and to express our gratitude to everyone who presented
projects.

Kind regards,
Masha Zrncic
Coordinator
