București 68/1, Chișinău La începutul anilor ’90, în Marea Britanie și Franța, poliția a intervenit represiv împotriva squaturilor și a petrecerilor libere. Scena techno a reacționat mutându-se spre Est. După căderea Cortinei de Fier în Europa aproape orice era posibil, deoarece autoritățile încă nu erau sigure ce să permită și ce să interzică. În 1994, atunci când sistemele de sunet Spiral Tribe, Mutant Waste Company și alții, au trecut peste graniță în vagonetele lor pictate, au întâlnit rămășițele Armatei Roșii. Oamenii techno au cumpărat un vehicul de luptă și un transportator subteran de la sovietici, pe care l-au transformat într-unul techno original. Pentru că aveau datele de contact ale squatterilor din Ladronka și Cibulka din Praga și ale unor figuri ale underground-ului cehoslovac, s-au îndreptat spre capitală. În 1994, în Hostomice, lângă Praga, a avut loc prima ediție a festivalului ceh “freetekno”. Din perspectiva culturii alternative locale, care până atunci a fost influențată în principal de “bigbeat wombles”, punks sau metalheads, invazia nomazilor techno-hippies, care putea să-și realizeze propriul festival oriunde, părea o sosire a unui OZN. Prima petrecere techno gratuită din Hostomice și continuarea acestuia la Libeň au influențat o mulțime de oameni care au decis să-și creeze propriile sisteme de sunet cehe. Aeronava rusă a fost plasat la Ivan Martin Jirous la Stará Říša, unde a fost acoperit cu mușchi pentru următorul eveniment. Aceste petreceri de vară au fost mai târziu numite “Čektek”. Filmul folosește imagini de epocă, care sunt în mare parte necunoscute publicului, dar și amintirile celor care se aflau în spatele mișcării muzicale și culturale independente. The techno-scene reacted by moving to the East. After the fall of the Iron Curtain in Europe almost anything was possible because the authorities were still not sure what to allow and what to prohibit. When the sound systems Spiral Tribe, Mutant Waste Company and others in 1994 came across the border in their painted vans, they met the remains of the Red Army. The techno people bought a fighter from the Soviets and an underground transporter which they turned into an original techno vehicle. Because they gained contacts for squatters from Prague’s Ladronka and Cibulka and figures of the Czechoslovak underground, they headed to the capital city. In 1994 in Hostomice, near Prague the first edition of the Czech “freetekno” festival took place. From the perspective of the local alternative culture, which was until then influenced mainly by the “bigbeat wombles”, punks or metalheads, the invasion of nomadic techno-hippies who could unpack their own festival anywhere seemed like an arrival of a UFO. The first free techno party in Hostomice and its continuation in Libeň influenced a lot of people who decided to create their own Czech sound systems. The Russian fighter was placed at Ivan Martin Jirous in Stará Říša, where it was being covered in moss for the next event. These summer free parties were later called “Czechtek”. The film uses period footage which is mostly unknown to public, but also the memories of people who were behind the independent musical and cultural movement.
