București 68/1, Chișinău Programul de Cinema în Aer Liber vă găzdui filmul Omul Roșu regizat de Mugur Vărzariu [RO], care a fost selectat în mod special pentru a fi prezentat la Apartamentul Deschis. Proiecția va avea loc în cadrul Festivalului Internațional de Film Documentar CRONOGRAF <http://cronograf.md/>. Omul Roşu – spune povestea lui Petre Ignatencu, canoist de performanţă şi şofer de taxi în anii ‘60, care crede cu tărie că prăbuşirea comunismului în decembrie ‘89 a fost o uriaşă greşeală a istoriei. Nostalgia unei epoci percepută de unii ca fiind glorioasă face uneori ca o credință personală să devină permanentă și de neînvins. Într-un prezent pe care îl consideră tulbure și decadent, Petre speră să reînvie spiritul Partidului și își asumă funcția de lider și continuator de drept al ideologiei socialiste. Acțiunile sale sunt clare, determinate și pline de elan. Un film documentar ce își propune să fie obiectiv, lipsit de patetism și presărat cu un umor fin, mai mult sau mai puțin involuntar. Vă aşteptăm cu drag! Mugur VĂRZARIU [RO] s-a născut la București în 1970. A studiat economia la Academia de Studii Economice, a petrecut trei ani la școala de drept și a lucrat mai bine de cincisprezece ani ca strategist de marketing înainte de a decide să se dedice lucrului social și fotografiei documentare. Ca rezultat direct al implicării sale, mii de oameni au fost salvați de la evacuările forțate. “Eu sunt primul pe scena si ultimul care pleacă. Lucrez ca și cum viața mea ar depinde de ea. Pentru mine, niciodată nu este vorba de a obține împușcarea “perfectă”; este vorba despre a nu reuși oamenii pe care i-am abordat prin camera mea. The screening will take place in the frame of of CRONOGRAF International Documentary Film Festival <http://cronograf.md/>. Red Man (2019) tells the story of Petre Ignatencu, a professional canonist and taxi driver during the 60s, who firmly believes that the collapse of the communist regime in December ’89 was a major error in History. The nostalgia about a glorified past period could lead to a pathologic point of view towards the present time. Therefore, in a present reality that Petre regards it as turbulent and decadent, he hopes to revive the spirit of the Party. For this reason, he assumes the position of leader and follower of the socialist ideology. His activist actions are clear, determined and full of enthusiasm. A documentary film that aims to be objective, devoid of pathetism and sprinkled with a fine – almost unconscious – humour. Mugur VARZARIU [RO] was born in Bucharest in 1970. He studied Economics at the Academy of Economic Studies, spent three years in law school, and worked for more than fifteen years as a marketing strategist before deciding to dedicate himself to social work and documentary photography. As a direct result of his involvement, thousands of people have been saved from forced evictions. “I am the first on the scene and the last to leave. I work as if my life depended on it and hopefully it shows. The only person I am in competition with is myself and I am never bothered about how other photographers might frame a particular situation.
