Net income dropped to S$878 million ($622 million) in the three months ended June 30, from S$927 million a year earlier, the company known as SingTel said today. Profit missed the S$902 million median estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Sales climbed 5.9 percent to S$3.78 billion. The Singapore dollar gained against nine major Asian currencies, excluding the yen, tracked by Bloomberg in the 12 months to June 30, cutting the value of earnings from regional affiliates such as Indonesia's PT Telekomunikasi Selular, or Telkomsel. SingTel said today Asian affiliates' earnings, which accounted for 48 percent of its total, will be ``impacted'' by currency movements this year. no sector is good because of the 'stupid currency movement' :( ... or else ... > > Please CMIIW with the rules > > On Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 11:10 PM, jos_martino <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > A scenario to replace BUMI with TLKM has been detected. > > Means the TIME is UP for BUMI to take IN-CHARGE as IDX Leader. > > Why now?
