I'm not a member of this list, but thought I should post this advice on
compiling the CVS version. Make sure that you run a "make distclean" before
running the configure and make of the CVS version of OBS. Otheriwise, you
might have some bad luck with the compile.
On another note, I'd just like to say that as an experienced developer,
hacker and code bastard I have found that while OBS has a few minor
problems, it has one of the nicest install procedures for a major software
package that I have seen in awhile. Now that I have installed the CVS
version, the stream is running fine.
I would like to make some recommendations or offer help on some new
features:
- List by Genre would be useful for building streams based on genre
content.
- I have albums with various artists, viewing these by album would be nice.
- I am considering writing a PHP interface to the admin/user options
screens with a possibly different layout and the above options added. Is
there interest in this?
