I would like to know
a bit more about how the CD Changer option works, since I'm thinking of using
it...
I have read some
replys in some earlier questions in obs-dev, and it seams that it works by
sending a change CD command to the CD-Changer ?
My CD changer isn't
realy a CD-Changer, but rather a CD-Jukebox with 680 Slots and 4 drives,
controlled by a SUN Solaris box, and I can connect to it via NFS or SMB.
So basically I just mount a huge drive filled with mp3's... The SUN
Solaris box is running a Jukebox software, that is able to cache loaded files,
but ofcause not all the files, so you might run into a file that needs to be
fetched from the cd-slot into the drive, and this takes about 5-10 secs, before
I have any data...
What I would like,
was for the OBS to treat my NFS mounted drive just as a CD-Changer, but there is
no need to send any change-cd commands...
As I am currently
fighting with a compiling problem, I have not been able to try this yet, but any
idea if it would work, or does the code need some tweaking ?
