Beware of using AddFiles.pl -u ! It will overwrite the metadata in your
database with the metadata found in the ID3 tags. If you're like me and
you keep your metadata in mysql nice and clean, but don't care about the
id3 tags on your files, DON'T RUN AddFiles.pl -u ON YOUR WHOLE MP3 SET.
I just managed to munge the metadata for a few files this way. So, if
you're interested in taking advantage of the new track length listings
feature that Robert Hart contributed, then use CleanUp.pl -l to add the
track lengths to your metadata in mysql.
I just checked in the code for the -l option to CleanUp.pl. So if you
check out the source from CVS and install it, make sure to install the
perl module MP3::Info and then run CleanUp.pl -l to write the track
lengths to your DB.
