Hi, I just grabbed and installed the latest CVS source yesterday, and everything is ok except Multi-channel support.
I created two playlists initially, one called "All Music" and one called "Christmas Channel". In the obs.xml file I created channel definitions for both of these channels, and restarted obs. Both channels are created and the songs get added to them, all looks good. I can listen to the first channel, All Music, and it works fine, indefinately. The Christmas Channel on the other hand isn't so smooth. I can listen to the first song added to the mixer, but after that song, freeamp buffers the stream and then stops, telling me "skipped corrupted file". The funny thing is, by all other accounts everything is fine. Through the web interface and in the obs.log file I can see that the Christmas Channel is still streaming it's songs one after another, and there is no indication of any trouble in obs.log or icecast.log. Any idea what's gone wrong? I also have a question about the way multiple channels work. I found that they are really just big playlists (just like the readme told me :). But they're even more like playlists then I realized. When the channel is loaded, the playlist is loaded in straight alphabetically order, which is pretty dull. I found I could manually randomize it by seleting all the tracks and hitting randomize, but I guess what I was hoping for was that the channels would behave like sub-Play Queues or something. I thought it would lock the first two songs in the mixer, and then (if someone hasn't added to the queue manually) pull songs at random, from the playlist that defines the channel. I found that I could define "Play Queue" as a channel and get the old functionality of a Play Queue, but what about having multiple Play Queues, as channels, with filtered inputs so they only add tracks from a specific playlist. Is this possible? Thanks! JGoins _______________________________________________ Obs-dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.freeamp.org/mailman/listinfo/obs-dev
