I found some free minutes to play around with the reencoding branch.

As noted in
http://www.freeamp.org/pipermail/obs-dev/2001-March/000221.html
I was finally able to compile and get it up and running.

In http://www.freeamp.org/pipermail/obs-dev/2001-October/000373.html I
noted the parameters of lame, which results quite good for a streamrate of
24kBit/s:

lame --quiet -b 24 -B 24 --mp3input -h -m m input.mp3 output.mp3

(btw these parameters sound only good with a windows client, but with
freeamp[linux] the mickey mouse voice remains)

I even found out how to switch to mono (in xmit/ReencodePullBuffer.cpp,
line 245), however I don't know how to set the remaining parameters -b24 -B
24 -h and I guess most important --mp3input

Might someone enlighten me?!

Regards
Fredy

BTW: I took the current CVS reencoding branch as of dec, 20th.
