Robert, 

Thanks - ./configure now finds libshout - but now when I run ./obsctr
start I get this:

[root@sparky bin]# ./obsctl start
Starting obsd: ./obsd: error in loading shared
libraries: libshout.so.2: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

libshout.so.2 is located in /usr/local/bin

More help please.
