Brits, soutpiele & others said in the 60's of SA: "The end is nigh!
It's gonna blow!" In the 70's, they said said, "Now you'll see - it's
gonna be a bloodbath!" In the 80's, it was "South Africa is going to
go up in flames!" ...and so on, & so forth. They've been going on for
decades!

The phenomenon we see is that there are two aspects to crime, etc.:
one, that which actually affects us; & 2. that which we read & hear
about. Types like Skuit read headlines in the paper, & collapse in
utter hysterics - even tho they themselves haven't been touched by
what they read about. They then spread the hysteria, by word of mouth
(see the hype above).

Ultimately, when these people bugger off, & then continue to self-
justify their fear-mongering in the country they've gone to, they do
us a favour: they leave SA with one less papbroek, & so the level of
anxiety is reduced to that degree.
