After arriving home from my 2 hour visit to the police station after
the theft of my tyre I found my friend and yours that impeccable
upstanding Observorian gentleman Richard doing a stirling job of
cleaning up my street.

What a fine fellow he is. He gaily regaled me with his tales of
working for the guy in the house in Bedford Street. As I approached
him he kept backing off. I had do do some charming of my own to win
his trust. I then walked with him to Bedford Street so he could point
out the place where the man who was paying him to clean Howe and
Bedford Streets lived. In the house next door was a chap called Sam
doing some work for the house next door.

I gave him a stern, but gentle warning, cause of course I would not
want to offend him , that I would be checking up on his story with the
man in the house.

He gave me his word, and coming from such a fine gentleman I accepted
it as his bond, that he was on the straight and narrow. The doghouse
and pots that caused him the emabarrasment of being arrested, were
purchased from a trolley operator, and the whole thing was one big
misunderstanding.

I walked away feeling a warm glow in my heart that we have citizens of
the calibre of Richard uplifting our fine Suburb.
