I've posted aFestival report back on the 'I Love Obs' google group, which deals with civic affairs. This is the group where I think this kind of discussion properly belong. If you're not already a member, please join - and lets try to keep this group for crime reports and Obs Neighbourhood Watch information. I (and the OCA commitee) think it's important to try to be both fair and accurate, so that we (the Obs community, the OCA) can arrive at in informed decision about the festival. It's important to note that all OCA committee meetings are open to residents and business-owners in Obs. They take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Community Centre. We welcome your participation and input. We also welcome your membership fees (R50 per annum for residents, R300 per annum for businesses.) We would especially welcome your participation at our AGM, where you are able to stand for election or elect those who you want to represent you. We need an effective, representative committee where the work-load is spread among committee members. Further information about the OCA is available on the Obs community website - www.obz.org.za. The OCA is the longest standing civic organisation in Obs, and arguably the one with most power to influence developments in Obs. The CID initiative, for example, was sponsored and supported by the OCA. Membership forms are also available from our treasurer, Helen Swart ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Rob
