Yesterday morning a young lady on her way to work at The Green Elephant was
robbed of her hadbag in Lytton St, right outside my home. On hearing her
scream I immediately called for help on the Radio, David came running and while
I treid to calm the lady he called SAPS who were here in seconds. I only saw
the back of the guy who grabbed her bag, her was wearing jeans white top &
white takkies.he then fled down the road. The young lady informed me that he
jumped into a Maroon (golf) and they sped off. They did not get her cell phone
because it was in her pocket, but her pappers and money is gone.

Saps tell me such a car has been involved in other such crimes, so please keep
an eye open for two gus in a maroom golf, hany onto your bags, don't carry too
much money. Maybe we should carry our cell phone. ID pappers, and money in
our pockets.

something similar almost happened to me. my elecronic security gate to my
driveway just happened to be open for a moment as well as the security gate at
my front door and i was momentarily at the back of the house and during this
short space of time, a guy entered my home and was actually standing on the
threshold of my bedroom, drooling at the sight of my laptop fully exposed on my
bed. it was inches and seconds away from being carried off. luckily i surprised
him and he fled without further incident.
the opportunists are in full force it seems,...

    Hi all

Please keep an eye out for a rather battered khaki cloth handbag (made by
Camel) just stolen from our house in Perth Road. By a most unfortunate set of
highly unusual circumstances a bloke managed to get into the front of our house
and took my bag. My husband actually happened to come in from the back at that
moment and the bloke threatened him with a gun.

Shortish black guy, about 25+, probably brown T-shirt and brown trousers.

No reply from Car 1 or Car 2. But ti was too late by then anyway - the chap
had run off towards the station.

    Thanks,
    Biddy.
