Here is a very interesting article printed in the PROPERTY magazine (Feb 2009)
Short extract from it: "The reason the nightclub noise complaints are so low is that the City (Cape Town) calls for soundproofing of all new late-night establishments. As far as existing premises are concerned, we only act when we get complaints and then we require the owners to do the same," says Ivan Toms. (Executive director of Cape Town’s health department) COOL!!!! This article reflects what i have found in my "investigation" about procedures with the authoraties. Read the whole article here: http://www.thepropertymag.co.za/pages/452774491/articles/2007/April/Articles/AD-Noise.asp The plan: WE WILL FOLLOW THE SAME ROUTE! Funny thing is, we only need 1 (one) sworn affidavit against a specific club/pub/restaurant/shebeen... I don't think it would be a problem getting that! Please come to the OCA meeting on Tuesday 10 Feb at 18:00. I'll be there. We need your input and support.
