I can't be sure exactly when it disappeared...........but this is the 2nd chair I have lost in this manner over the last 12 months.
On my verandah was a folded up camp chair with aluminium folding legs (....you know the sort ? ). I went outside just now to sit on it and observe the passing parade. The chair was gone. And the wooden gate that that would allow access into my VERY SMALL front "garden", which is ALWAYS LOCKED, had been climbed over and damaged (.....notwithstanding that the wood of the gate is pretty rotten anyway). Then the thief gained access to the chair in one of two ways: (a) he let himself onto the verandah by picking a lock; or (b) s/he then jiggled the canvas off of the chair's folding steel parts and dragged it thru the "grid"......and then folded up the steel legs and SOMEhow got it through a grid 16 cms x 12.5 cms (I've just measured ! ). To do this is a phenomenally brazen thing. I personally do not believe there is much that thugs will stop at these days...... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
